PhD Hoops USA is a competitive basketball organization that gives players and coaches the opportunity to represent the United States in FIBA competition overseas. Our high-level staff emphasizes the development of young players both on and off the court and takes great pride in creating tours that combine the thrill of international basketball competition with a cultural education that lasts a lifetime!

But, with great power comes great responsibility… and, as a result, we use an advanced recruiting process to identify the best talent and fit to represent the USA (and PhD Hoops USA) on an international stage. For those selected, the experience is the privilege of a lifetime and all former participants become members of our small, but ever-growing fraternity of PhD Hoops USA Alums.

PhD Hoops USA was founded by Richie Schueler, a former college basketball player, 10-year college basketball coach and current basketball analyst for Fox Sports and the ESPN Family of Networks.
