The PhD Hoops USA Ring of Honor recognizes players, coaches and individuals who have made significant and/or outstanding contributions to the organization’s history. As voted on by our coaches and staff, this inaugural class of inductees is comprised of day-one members who have helped mold and shape what PhD Hoops USA is today.

Bob Hutchings
Coach Bob Hutchings was a PhD Hoops USA pioneer and legendary coaching figure for over 50 years. Known for both his entertaining personality and no-nonsense approach to the craft, Coach Hutchings left a lasting impact on hundreds of players and coaches across several tours before his passing in 2023. In 2025, the Coach Hutch Passion Award was created in his honor, which recognizes those who display the qualities of PASSION, ENTHUSIASM, TOUGHNESS, LEADERSHIP & INTEGRITY.
Arvin Mosley, Jr.
Ruben Leyva
Few have impacted more PhD Hoops USA players and families than Ruben Leyva. From the beginning, he established himself as an annual fixture on numerous tours as a PhD Hoops USA Trip Leader and Coach. Combining his fun personality with a steadfast approach and servant-leadership mindset, Ruben has been a key contributor in elevating the PhD Hoops USA experience. His innovativeness and unfailing loyalty has been a model of consistency for future generations.
Jarren Nuñez-Radden
Jarren Nuñez-Radden has the distinct honor of being the first player inducted into the PhD Hoops USA Ring of Honor. His journey began in 2019 as a key member of the first-ever PhD Hoops USA team, which earned a medal at the United World Games. A few years later, Nuñez-Radden became the first player to compete on 4 unique tours. The mark he left behind set a high standard for all future players, combining talent with strong character — the true epitome of a PhD Hoops USA player.
*Ring of Honor Criteria
Every current and former PhD Hoops USA player, coach & staff member is eligible to be nominated for the PhD Hoops USA Ring of Honor. Voters for induction are limited to our current and former coaches & staff members. The inaugural 2025 class inducted four individuals. Beginning in 2026, PhD Hoops USA will induct two individuals each year where at least 1 inductee must be a player.
